Is Calmii® a toy?
No. Calmii® products are designed as tactile communication and sensory support tools, not toys.
They are created with a specific purpose: to support communication, understanding, regulation, routines, transitions and choice.
Adult supervision is recommended at all times.
Who is Calmii® designed for?
Calmii® is designed for children who may benefit from tactile, low-demand communication support, including autistic children and children with sensory processing, communication or regulation differences.
Our products can be used at home, in schools, education settings and other supported environments.
Every child is different, so suitability should always be considered on an individual basis.
What age is Calmii® suitable for?
Calmii® is recommended for children aged 3 years and over, with adult supervision.
Suitability will vary depending on the individual child's needs, abilities and level of supervision required.
How does Calmii® work?
Calmii® uses tactile tiles, boards and tools that allow children to physically interact with communication.

The aim is to make communication something a child can see, touch, hold and interact with.
Because tactile comes before language.
Is Calmii® a sensory toy or fidget?
No. While Calmii® products are intentionally tactile and may provide sensory feedback, they are not designed as fidget toys.
The tactile element has a purpose — helping children engage with communication, regulation, routines and choices in a way that feels accessible to them.
Can Calmii® be used during moments of distress?
Calmii® can support communication when a child is overwhelmed or finding words difficult.
However, we recommend introducing and practising the tools during calm, regulated moments first, so the child becomes familiar with them before they are needed during more challenging situations.
Can Calmii® be used in schools?
Absolutely.
Calmii® has been developed with both families and education settings in mind.
Our school range includes tactile communication tiles, Now & Next boards, routines, emotions, regulation and lanyard communication, with budget-friendly starter options available for education settings.
Schools should always use Calmii® in line with their own safeguarding, supervision and risk assessment procedures.

What is Calmii® made from?
Calmii® products are 3D-printed using PETG plastic, selected for its strength and durability for everyday handling.
Different products may use different colours and finishes.
How do I care for my Calmii® products?
Calmii® products should be regularly checked for signs of damage, wear or loose parts.
Clean according to the care guidance supplied with your product and avoid harsh chemicals or excessive heat.
If any part becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately.
Does Calmii® need adult supervision?
Yes.
Calmii® products are intended for adult-led use and supervision.
They are not suitable for chewing or mouthing, and children should always be supervised according to their individual needs.
How quickly will my Calmii® order be made?
Calmii® products are made in small batches and to order, allowing us to maintain quality and consistency.
Current production and dispatch times are shown on the website and at checkout.
For larger school orders, please contact us to discuss requirements and timescales.
What happens if my Calmii® product becomes damaged?
Please discontinue use immediately if a product becomes damaged, cracked, broken or develops a loose part.
If the damage relates to your order, please contact us with details and photographs where possible, and we'll be happy to help.
Can I buy Calmii® for a school?
Yes.
