Calmii® gives children a simple, tactile way to communicate needs, choices and feelings during dental visits when words may be difficult.

The Dental Communication Kit combines tactile communication tiles with a handheld Calmii® Bar, providing a physical way for a child to indicate choices such as OK, Stop, Break or Too Loud.

Designed by a SEND mum, Calmii® can support communication between children, families and dental professionals during appointments.

Crafted from PETG

The Calmii® Bar and tactile tiles are 3D-printed using PETG, a durable material selected for regular handling and everyday use.

The components can be wiped clean in accordance with appropriate cleaning practices for the materials.

Each piece is made and checked with care before being packed.

How It Works

Children can choose a tile to communicate a need, choice or piece of information during their appointment.

• OK — communicates that they are OK to continue
• Stop — communicates that they want to stop
• Break — communicates that they need a pause
• Too Loud — communicates that the environment or sound feels too loud
• Open Mouth — visual communication for the dental instruction
• Dentist — identifies the dental context
• Brush Teeth — supports communication around the familiar routine
