Is Calmii™ a toy?
No. Calmii™ is not a toy.
It is a communication tool designed to support understanding and emotional regulation. It should not be used for play, stimulation, or unsupervised handling.
Who is Calmii™ designed for?
Calmii™ is designed for children who may benefit from tactile, low-demand communication support, including autistic children and those with sensory processing or communication differences. It may be used at home, in schools, or in SEND settings under adult supervision.
What age is Calmii™ suitable for?
Calmii™ is recommended for children aged 3 years and over, under adult supervision.
Suitability may vary depending on individual needs, abilities, and supervision levels.
How does Calmii™ work?
Calmii™ uses interchangeable tactile tiles that represent feelings or needs (such as too loud, need quiet, or calm/okay). A child selects and places a tile into the Calmii™ bar to communicate without needing to speak.
Are the tiles removable?
Yes. Calmii™ tiles are designed to fit securely while remaining removable by a child or adult with appropriate motor control. Adult supervision is recommended at all times.
Is Calmii™ a sensory toy or fidget?
No. While Calmii™ is tactile, it is not designed for sensory stimulation or repetitive play. Its purpose is calm communication and emotional expression, not fidgeting.
Can Calmii™ be used during moments of distress?
Calmii™ can support communication during overwhelming moments when words are hard. It works best when introduced during calm moments so the child is familiar with it before it is needed.
Can Calmii™ be used in schools or SEND settings?
Yes. Calmii™ has been designed with both home and educational settings in mind. It should be used in line with the setting’s safeguarding, supervision, and risk assessment policies.
What materials is Calmii™ made from?
Calmii™ is 3D-printed using PETG plastic, selected for its durability, strength, and suitability for everyday handling. As with all handheld items, regular visual checks are recommended, and use should be discontinued if any part shows signs of damage or wear.
Is Calmii™ safe for everyday use?
Every Calmii™ bar and tile is thoughtfully designed and made with care for regular use. However, as with any product used by children, adult supervision is essential.
We recommend regularly checking your Calmii™ for signs of wear or damage and discontinuing use immediately if any part becomes damaged or loose.
Does Calmii™ need adult supervision?
Yes. Calmii™ should always be used under adult supervision. It is not suitable for mouthing or chewing and should be stored safely when not in use.
How is Calmii™ supplied?
Calmii™ is produced in small, carefully managed batches to ensure quality and consistency. Current availability and turnaround times are shown clearly on the store before checkout.
What if my Calmii™ becomes damaged?
